To know what is salvation, let’s take a look at what the Bible says.

God loves you.

For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

God Has a plan for you. He wants you to have a satisfying abundant life.

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. John 10:10

Do you have a satisfying life?

Sin keeps you from experiencing God’s plan for you. We have all broken God’s law (the 10 commandments)

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Romans 3:23

You are separated from God because of sin.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

God has an answer to this dilemma.

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8

He sent His Son Jesus who is a provision for our sin

I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said.He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. He was seen by Peter[a] and then by the Twelve. After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers[b] at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. 1 Corinthians 15:3-6

Jesus is the only way to experience eternal life

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6

It is not enough to know these things you must receive Him

He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. 12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:11-12

All you need to do is trust Him to save you. This is true faith.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9

He personally invites you to have a relationship with Him.

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. Revelation 3:20

When you have a relationship with Jesus you have eternal life.

And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and

this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.

13 I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. 14 And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. 1 John 5:11-14

Thank God for what He has done for you.

Thank God for this gift (His Son) too wonderful for words. 2 Corinthians 9:15

God, I am a sinner. I am sorry for my sin. I receive Jesus as my Savior. I confess Him as my Lord.
