Meditate on the Word

Scripture Meditation

  • There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven; …He has made everything beautiful in His time. Ecclesiastes 3:1 & 11
  • The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus it will burst into bloom, it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God. Isaiah 35:1

Fellowship with God

Worship in the garden of my heart

In the garden of life, I see spring’s unpredictable weather. Warm, then cold; gray against blue; darkness then bright. New life has appeared; growing strong and stead and ready to make its entry with grand attire. I can see some of the seeds I planted are doing so well. And with some I didn’t heed the direction. I planted too deep or scattered too thin. But they too will arrive with their own grandeur at a later time. Be patient, be patient. In the garden in my heart I see life, so frail, so fragile. It need the care of the Grand Gardener that knows all and thankfully is so patient and creative with my mistakes. What I think is dead springs to life in His Garden of eternal life. I must heed His directions for that glorious harvest and always praise Him for creating beauty in spite of myself. That is who He is ‘that is who He always is’! Perfection!!! Worship Him always in the garden of your heart. ©Walt Irwin 2016 Garden: That place where we hold Him so dear. A place of quiet reflection and beautiful fellowship-that special place of an unseen (to others) alter of worship and love!

Christian Growth

How can this apply to Christian growth

What would you consider the garden of your heart?

Think about the lyrics to the hymn: I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses.

Is there a place where you go to be with Him and to hear His voice?

In what ways do you think this is a form of worship?
