I Heard You
Backed into a corner
By fears and feelings
I had no strength
My hands tied, my heart slowing
My vision dimming
My hearing gone
My voice was becoming soft
Too soft for anyone to hear
I had one last chance
I had to try
So I opened my mouth,
“Help”, not even I could hear.
Suddenly the fears ran,
The feelings disappeared
A new strength came over me
My hands free, a new heartbeat
I began to see new things
I even heard what others could not
I was silent, though a question
Screamed from my heart
The answer then came,
“I heard you”
